Art of the Huffman House Bed and Breakfast in Historic Minden, LA- B&B is wide ranging, unique and eclectic, all characteristics you can use to sum up this beautiful micro luxury inn. Huffman House prides itself on being a diverse mixture of modern conveniences located within a historic home, the art is no different. Entering the home you will find one of our largest works “Uptown New Orleans” located left, directly ahead you have an original piece from the 1800s depicting a young mother with her two children. The background of this piece is dark with the young mother and her children are illuminated by the two candles. Each piece that you see below has a unique story it was either collected by James and Eleanor Huffman (the “Yellow Rose Eleanor” -1957 / 1800s Tray- “Wings of a Butterfly”) or by Kimberly and James Huffman, Jr in their travels of the United States.
When visiting our home we hope that you enjoy our art and will take advantage of the art displays in Minden. Art on Main located just several blocks from the Huffman House always has a display worth viewing. There’s also a local photographer that has original art display, there’s no fee for viewing and all guests are made to feel welcome and at home. Within walking distance there’s also a small museum that oddly enough is only open Monday through Friday. The museum has no fees and is staffed by individuals who know the city of Minden as well as the history of Webster Parish.
Our art is not limited to just canvas and paint but also offers up some signed and numbered Limited Reproduction pieces. Two of our favorites are located in the media room just off the entrance to the left. We hope that you enjoy discovering all of the unique pieces we have collected over the years here at Huffman House Bed and Breakfast.
